I love to do custom work. I am happy to work with you to create a custom piece of glass or jewelry. The custom process begins with several e-mails in which we discuss what you envision. I will help with the design process by asking several questions and making suggestions to help finalize the design. I will be sure to cover information such as color, size and materials. Occasionally, I may have to offer alternative suggestions, to ensure that your piece can be made and will last. I will ask you your price range so I can offer options that will meet your needs. After I have a clear understanding of your design, I will send you design ideas and digital images of materials (stones or glass) and an estimated price and delivery schedule for your approval and or modification. Once I have your approval, I will require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The balance is due upon completion of the final project. Depending on the time of year and complexity of the piece, it could take 4-8 weeks for completion. Please plan ahead. I guarantee the craftsmanship and materials used in my work. I also guarantee that the piece will match the final design you approved including the materials and dimensions of the piece. Custom work is not refundable unless it is defective upon arrival (please see my policy on refunds). Custom work may only be returned for a credit toward another piece or an exchange less shipping and charge card charges. I look forward to working with you to create a work of art. Please e-mail me if you would like further information or a quote.

Glass fusing is sometimes called warm glass-work. This is because glass fusing lies between glass blowing (hot glass) and stained glass / glass mosaics (cold glass). Glass fusing is the joining of pieces of glass by melting them in a kiln at around 1500 degrees F. Iridized Glass is coated with metallic coating made of tin. Dichroic Glass is defined as glass having more than one color especially when viewed from different angles (transmitted, reflected and viewed from a 45 degree angle). Thin layers of metallic oxides are deposited on the surface of the glass in a high temperature vacuum furnace. The process is quite costly, therefore, the high price of glass items containing dichroic glass. Slumped glass takes glass that has been fused flat and fuses it a second (or more) time into a mold at around 1340 degrees F. The glass takes on the shape of the ceramic or stainless steel mold.

Gently wipe off all finger prints and make-up after each use. Sterling and fine silver are soft metals and scratch easily. Only use a 100% cotton cloth. If you use a jewelry polishing cloth be careful to use a new section each time as dirt particles from prior use can scratch your silver. I do not recommend the use of chemical cleaners except for glass pieces. The solutions may ruin your stone. Store your silver jewelry in a plastic zip lock bag with a small piece of chalk. The chalk helps prevent oxidation.
